Mechanism of action: Piroxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals that cause inflammation and pain. Additional information: Brexin can cause stomach upset, diarrhea, and other side effects. If you experience any side effects, talk to your doctor. Brexin is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Brexin may interact with other medications you are taking. Talk to your doctor about any medications you are taking before starting Brexin. Additional information for healthcare professionals: Brexin is a long-acting NSAID with a half-life of 50-70 hours. This means that it can stay in your system for a long time, even after you stop taking it. This can increase the risk of side effects. Brexin is contraindicated in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, or severe kidney or liver disease. Brexin should be used with caution in patients with asthma, heart disease, or high blood pressure.
